Interprofessional Simulation Health Care Event @ 111 Stong College

Simulation session open to students in:

Athletic Therapy Certificate, Kinesiology and Health Science, Nursing and Theatre Studies Programs at York University, and, students from Paramedicine and Police Foundations Programs at Centennial College.

Students will participate in their professional capacity or as patients in simulated scenarios.

- Meet students from other professional programs
- Share professional competencies
- Work with other professionals to enable effective patient/client outcomes
- Describe their role and that of others
- Practice patient or client relationship skills (sharing information with patients/clients in a respectful manner and in such a way that it is understandable, encourages discussion, and enhances participation in decision-making)
- Receive a certificate of completion

Participation is voluntary. Please complete the registration form in its entirety. To ensure a quality experience for all participants, students are placed in roles according to their academic and professional experience.

Athletic Therapy Certificate Information Session - Mon Nov 7, 2016 @ Stong Masters Dining Room

Hello Kinesiology students!

Are you interested in working with athletes in the prevention, assessment, immediate care of sport-related injuries?
Do you see yourself running onto the field during the game or rehabilitating injured athletes in the clinic to get them back to full health?

If so, the Athletic Therapy Certificate Program will be holding an information session on Monday November 7, 2016 at 3:00- 4:30pm in  the Stong Masters Dining Room  to give an overview of the program and answer any of your questions related to the program. Current students and faculty will be on hand to answer your questions and give their first-hand experience in the program.

NOTE: New deadline Application deadline is February 1st 2017  in order to be considered for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Join Brenda Kritzer, College Registrar and CEO, on Monday, November 6 at 3:30 p.m. in the Dahdaleh Building (DB) Room 0016 for an interactive presentation that will explain the role of the College and how you can prepare for registration. Time will be given to answer any questions you may have.
