York Lions athletes show off their awards

The student-athletes, representing 27 Lions teams, were recognized for their achievements in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year. Academic all-Canadian awards are given to Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) student-athletes who achieve a sessional grade point average of 7.5 and higher, while Ontario University Athletics (OUA) achievement awards are for student-athletes on OUA teams who have earned the same GPA.

Also honoured were the male and female student-athletes from both the CIS and the OUA sports who had the highest sessional GPAs last year. Receiving the CIS awards were Caitlin Lee from women's hockey and Yoel Green from men's swimming, while Sarah Visentin from women's tennis and Glen Katsnelson from men's tennis received the top OUA awards.
